BORN WHEN & WHERE
At just the right time in Grand Rapids to none other than my mother. Some would say it was a coincidence but I know otherwise!!
FAMILY:
I am married to my best friend, Beth. We have three wonderful children and a son-in-law, that I could not be any prouder of. And a new granddaughter!!! Oh... and 2 cats and a fish named Gill. That's about it (for now).
UPDATE Feb 4th, 2012.... make that 3 cats: Yoshi, Izzy and Witty! They are lots of fun! They really like Kitty Cars, milk rings and wrestling with each other (even at 3:30 AM.... on our bed...while we are trying to sleep....grrr).
UPDATE Mar 16th, 2012....soon to add a daughter-in-law as our oldest got engaged today! Woo-Hoo!
HOW I MET MY WIFE:
It was a long time ago, in a land far, far away.... :) It was during college that we met. I had to go get my hair cut (to be legal for school....) and she was taking classes at the place where I got my hair cut. We started talking there, and then later at college we developed a friendship that lasts to this day.
I want to grow old with her. I may look that way now, but it is only the color of my hair that looks old...... but I am working on that... as I get older it is getting more and more ... "blond"....
HOW I BECAME A CHRISTIAN:
I was nine years years old and it was on a Sunday afternoon that my father led me to the Lord. It was a result of listening to my Sunday School teachers and then talking with my parents after lunch. It was a really great lunch! Dessert was eternal!!!
WHO IS JESUS TO ME:
Jesus is my Savior. He is my Everpresent help in times of need. He is my Advocate. He is my Forgiver. He loves me inspite of the dumb things I do.
WHO AM I TO JESUS:
His child that He died for to pay for the penalty for MY sins. What is even more amazing is that He did that when I deserved just the opposite!
FAVORITE SONG
Many of them. I like a wide variety of styles of music, both instrumental and vocal. I find though, that at during different stages of life or events, that I like or appreciate different songs that speak to me at just the right time. Variety is nice. :)
FAVORITE FOODS
My favorite foods are... all the ones I like. My least favorite ones are the ones I dislike. Kind of works out that way......
HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME
I enjoy spending time with my best friend (see family above) either going to antique stores or used book stores. I enjoy reading different genres of books. My current genres of choice are westerns and international espionage. I also enjoy working in my yard and around the house. I like to have fun and laugh.
