“Courageous” DVD Available
A copy of the movie, “Courageous” is available for you to check out from our library.
Men’s Bible Study
All men are encouraged to come to the “Courageous Living” Bible Study at GBC this Thursday, from 7:00-8:15 pm. There will be a special guest speaker this week.
Continental Baptist Missions
The annual CBM Friends and Family Banquet will be held on March 29th at Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Rapids. Dr. Gerald Webber will be the keynote speaker. Also, be sure & save the date for CBM’s golf tournament on June 4.
Court of Honor
Everyone is invited to the Boy Scouts’ “Court of Honor” ceremony for Dan and Debby Cushman at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 24th at South Harbor Church in Byron Center. Dan will receive the Eagle Court of Honor and Debby will receive the Silver Court of Honor. RSVP is requested, but not necessary, at either jwsj19@juno.com or 583-9494.
Griffins Hockey Game
There will be an all-church family activity to the Griffins’ Hockey Game on Friday, March 2nd, at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $12 per person, and it is also $1 hot dog night! Sign up in the foyer! See Jake Walter if you have any questions.
Church Ministries Conference
The annual Church Ministries Conference will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, March 9-10. Early bird registration is $25, but GBC will cover $10 of this cost. Sign up today if you want to take advantage of this discount. Brochures are in the foyer. See Pastor Jeremy if you have any questions.

Recommended reading from the LIFT Library:
A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance: Help for the Losses in Life by Margaret Metzgar. “Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, of gains and losses, building our coping strategies over time….” This book gives help in finding meaning in our losses and ways to lessen the pain while holding on to faith and hope.
A Window to Heaven: When Children See Life in Death, by Diane Komp, M.D.
This book was written by a doctor who came back to her faith while treating terminally ill children. She discovered that kids instinctively know God and relate to Him naturally, sharing their simple faith in profound ways. Sharing the Mt. Moriah test of faith experience each parent faces when losing a child, she gives new insight into how the agony of the cross brings relevance to Jesus’ resurrection.
